Poker tour aims to raise money [Corrected]

The winner of a school fundraiser will walk away with tickets to the World Series of Poker 2012.

The foundations for Mariners, Kaiser, Newport and Newport Heights elementary schools are hosting the first Quad School Poker Tour on Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club of the Harbor Area at Rea Elementary School in Costa Mesa to raise money for technology.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with dinner catered by the Irvine Ranch Market. The poker tournament is from 7 to 11 p.m.

An earlier version incorrectly said the tournament was taking place at Rea Elementary School. It's happening at the Boys & Girls Club of the Harbor Area Lou Yantorn Branch, 2131 Tustin Ave.

The winner will earn entry to the World Series of Poker if 250 people attend the event, if not the winner will receive a cash prize.

Tickets are $50 for the dinner, which includes beer and wine, or $150 for both dinner and a seat in the tournament.

Ticket reservations can be made by emailing or faxing (949) 209-1816.
