Newport Beach police recruitment video from 2008 creates buzz online

A Newport Beach police recruitment video posted to YouTube in November 2008 has recently gone viral, according to OC Weekly.

The video, which some say portrays the city of Newport Beach as “terrifying,” resurfaced after being linked to from sites like The Agitator and BoingBoing, according to the story.

The video was compared with a police recruitment video from Decatur, Ga., which was considerably less gritty than the Newport video.
