‘Laguna Beach’ star pleads guilty to DUI

One-time “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” reality TV star Talan Torriero will do probation after being convicted of driving under the influence.

Torriero, 26, of Laguna Beach, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to misdemeanor driving with a blood alcohol level of .08% or more, according to Orange County Superior Court records.

He was sentenced to three years’ informal probation, a $390 fine and a first offenders program, according to court records.

Torriero was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 1 at the intersection of Brooks Street and South Coast Highway, according to police records.

A Laguna Beach patrol officer monitoring the intersection saw Torriero’s Ford driving southbound on South Coast Highway and then making an illegal left turn onto the 200 block of Brooks Street. There was a sign stating no left or U-turns were allowed.

An officer stopped the vehicle and upon observing objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication administered a series of field sobriety tests, according to police records.

Torriero was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and released to await his court date.
