Scenic 5K planning meeting is Tuesday

The Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce will hold a planning meeting for its 32nd annual Corona del Mar Scenic 5K at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The chamber, with the city of Newport Beach, is looking for volunteers to assist with the 5K which is scheduled for June 1. This year, the standalone race will also serve as the last leg of the Newport Beach Road Racing Series. Events are available for adults and children younger than 12.

Pre-registration fees for the events are $38 for the 5K, $28 for the 2-mile walk, and $15 to $28 for youth events.

The Newport Beach Road Racing Series, which includes the Corona del Mar Scenic 5K and Newport-Mesa Spirit Run is $60. Youth fees are $55, $58 for non-residents, and includes an additional track meet.

The planning meeting will be in the chamber office at 2855 E. Coast Hwy., Suite 101.
