Marian Luke Turpin of Newport Beach passed away on August 12, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Marian was born on July 5, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Pat Hadlock Luke and Louise McEwan Luke. She grew up in Westwood and attended University High School and Santa Monica City College.
She married Bill Turpin in 1947 and had three daughters. They raised their family in the San Fernando Valley then moved to Newport Beach in 1970.

Marian had many passions in life. First and foremost, she was devoted to her family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. That devotion was closely followed by her love of her friends, travel, music, theater, art and playing bridge. Marian was a long-time supporter of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, Pacific Symphony, Assistance League and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Robert and Richard Luke (Jean.) She is survived by her sister Alice Yount and brother Donald Luke (Marilyn), her three daughters, Randa Rielly (Bruce), Karin Kloehn (Gary), Cathy Tash (Gary), grandchildren; Bill & Shawni Jackson, Karrie & Cory McCluskey, Blake Rielly, Alex Kloehn, Casey Kloehn, Allison Tash; great-grandchildren Tate, Tucker, Ella and Callan all of whom believed her to be their number one fan.

A Celebration of her life will be held Monday, August 19 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marian’s name to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, 1201 West La Veta, Orange, CA 92868.
