Council: The Oct. 11 article “Study describes a ‘culture of distrust’ among city workers” incorrectly stated that all five Costa Mesa council members were interviewed for the study. The report did not clarify that only four were interviewed. Councilman Gary Monahan was not available because of scheduling conflicts.

Reality: The Oct. 10 article “Digging for a legacy good as gold” incorrectly said William Bartholomae traveled west from New York as the California Gold Rush broke out in 1848. In fact, he traveled to California much later.
