8 hurt in Newport collision
Eight people were injured when two vehicles collided in Newport Beach on Saturday night.
Two vehicles containing nine people were involved in the crash on Newport Boulevard north of Hospital Road about 9 p.m., police said.
Eight fire units from Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach responded to the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
