Fundraiser to help girl with cancer

A fundraiser to aid an Estancia High School student’s fight against cancer takes place next week.

Emma Griffith, a sophomore volleyball player, was diagnosed in June with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Her motto has been “Keep Calm and Fight Like a Girl.”

The Nov. 8 fundraiser will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Strawberry Farms Golf Club, 11 Strawberry Farms Road, Irvine. It includes a Mexican buffet dinner, margarita bar, auction and live music.
