The Costa Mesa City Council is seeking applications to fill the committee vacancies left by David Stiller, a respected longtime community leader who recently died.

At the time of his death, Stiller, 78, had been serving on the city’s Finance Advisory and Fairview Park Citizens Advisory committees.

The finance committee “provides advice to the City Council regarding events and issues that may affect the financial status of the city,” according to a news release.
