Community & Clubs: Clean out your closet for those in need

Harbor Mesa Lions recently held a clothing drive for Working Wardrobes, a nonprofit located in Costa Mesa that helps men and women in dire need of employment. This organization has a six-week training period to help develop skills in resume writing, computer job searches and appropriate dress for the workplace.

The Lions cleaned out their closets and donated clothing, shoes, purses and accessories. They also had a tour of the facility, located at 3030 Pullman Ave., Suite A, Costa Mesa.

Working Wardrobes has helped 60,000 people obtain jobs since it was established in 1990. Clients are referred. Donations of clean clothing in good condition and appropriate for the workforce are accepted Mondays through Saturdays. For hours or further information, call (714) 210-2460.
