College Roundup: Golden West men’s basketball loses to L.A. Valley in Santa Barbara Tournament

The Golden West College men’s basketball team lost to Los Angeles Valley 86-71 in the Santa Barbara Tournament on Friday night.

In having their two-game winning streak snapped, the Rustlers dropped to 2-8 overall.

San Diego Miramar 96, Orange Coast 62: The visiting Pirates fell to 2-8 on the season following Friday’s nonconference game.

Orange Coast opens Orange Empire Conference play on Dec. 18, when it travels to face Santiago Canyon at 6 p.m.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Mission 81, Orange Coast 49: The Pirates dropped to 1-6 overall after Friday’s game in the Los Angeles Harbor Round-Robin.

Orange Coast will face Taft at Los Angeles Harbor on Saturday at 10 a.m.
