The Yale and Michigan men’s lacrosse teams will meet in the seventh annual Pacific Coast Shootout on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Orange Coast College.

Yale, making its first appearance, becomes the sixth NCAA Division I national champion to compete in the showcase match. The Bulldogs won the national title in 2018 and were runner-up last year.

Yale (2-1) is tied for fifth in the most recent national poll.

“We are extremely excited to have another great matchup for this year’s Shootout,” said Pacific Coast Shootout executive director G.W. Mix, who is also the boys’ lacrosse coach at Corona del Mar High, in a release. “Yale has been one of the top teams in the country for a number of years and it is an honor to have them agree to join us.”
