Los Amigos High senior guard Brian Pacheco has earned Garden Grove League MVP honors after helping the boys’ basketball team win its first league title since the 2001-02 season.

Pacheco averaged 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals per game in league play for Los Amigos (19-9, 9-1 in league). Pacheco, who didn’t play in 2018-19 due to injury, helped the Lobos rebound from a 1-9 showing in the league a year ago and win the title outright, their eighth in program history.

Los Amigos advanced to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5A playoffs before losing 58-54 at Acton Vasquez.
