The Huntington Beach High School boys’ water polo team continued its impressive start to the season Saturday.

The Oilers captured the title at the Santa Barbara Invitational tournament, outlasting Mater Dei 10-9 in the final at Santa Barbara High.

James Rozolis-Hill, Zach Bettino and Nikola Mirkovic each scored three goals for Huntington Beach (7-0), which will likely be the top seed in the South Coast Tournament that starts Thursday.

Huntington Beach beat Laguna Beach 16-9 in the semifinals.

Laguna Beach places third: Laguna Beach finished third in the Santa Barbara Invitational, beating Brunswick (Conn.) 13-12 in overtime in the third-place match on a game-winning shot by Will Kelly.

Kelly scored nine goals in the third-place match for Laguna Beach (5-3), and Nick Hoffs scored twice.

Kelly had five goals in the semifinal loss to the Oilers.
