LOS ALAMITOS — Cody Caldwell had 11 kills to help the Sailors to a 25-21, 25-10, 25-16 Sunset League win Wednesday.

Rusty Sary had eight kills, five aces and six digs, Clay Carr had five kills and five blocks, Kevin Rakestraw had five kills and Ian Sequeira had 27 assists and five digs for Newport Harbor (17-7, 6-0 in league), ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division I.

Saddleback def. Estancia

COSTA MESA — Dylan Gaitan and Kyle Treiger each had 14 kills but Saddleback defeated the Eagles, 25-23, 25-19, 25-27, 25-19, in the Orange Coast League match Wednesday at Estancia High.

Estancia is now 1-12, 1-6 in league. The Eagles play host to Godinez on Tuesday.

BOYS’ GOLF

Nonleague

NEWPORT BEACH — Corona del Mar High won a tight three-way match Wednesday at Newport Beach Country Club, defeating Aliso Niguel, 189-190, and Villa Park, 189-192.

CdM (18-1) avenged its lone loss of this season, which had come against Villa Park.

Sophomore Carter Wheatley shot even-par 35 to lead the Sea Kings. Brian Mull shot 37, Mike Moorhead and Karick Brown each finished with 38 and Ryan Grable carded a 41. Aliso Niguel had the medalist.

CdM plays host to Dana Hills today at Newport Beach Country Club. Coach Mike Starkweather said the Sea Kings will be without Moorhead, who will be playing in a tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz.

St. Margaret’s 201, Sage Hill 206

IRVINE — Ahmed Eltamami shot four-over-par 40 for the Lightning in the Academy League match at Strawberry Farms Golf Course Wednesday.

Kam Fujii and Tanner Tremaine both shot 44 for Sage Hill (7-3, 6-1 in league).

Robert Dang of St. Margaret’s was the medalist with 37.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

Estancia 99, Saddleback 64

SANTA ANA — Matt Thome and Preston Schow won two events each and were both on two winning relay teams for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League meet Wednesday.

Thome won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 19.79 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:07.21, while Schow won the 50 freestyle in 23.7 and the 100 fly in 1:07.21.

Asher Twardowski won the 500 free in 5:55.15 for Estancia (5-6, 3-2 in league). Twardowski, Conner Graham, Thome and Schow won the 200 medley relay (1:53.83). Graham, Derek Andrews, Thome and Schow won the 200 free relay (1:42.80). Andrews, Hayden Swift, Twardowski and Jacob Sperling won the 400 free relay (4:08.70).

The Eagles wrap up the regular season Tuesday at Savanna.

BOYS’ TRACK & FIELD

Newport Harbor 69, Los Alamitos 67

LOS ALAMITOS — Steven Vayda won the long jump (19 feet, 11 inches), high jump (5-6) and finished second in the 110 high hurdles for the Sailors in the Sunset League meet Wednesday.

Ryan Andrews led a 1-2-3 Newport Harbor finish in the shot put (56-7½), Ethan Cochran led a sweep in the discus (186-0) and Mark Sakoika led a sweep in the pole vault (14-0).

Titus Hasson won the 100 meters in 11.1, Jake Barber won the 1,600 in 4:40 and Austin Little won the 3,200 in 10:18 for Newport Harbor (4-1 in league).

BOYS’ TENNIS

Corona del Mar 14, Troy 4

CORONA DEL MAR — Shane Korber’s 6-3 win over Troy’s Caryl Hernandez highlighted the nonleague match Wednesday.

Korber is ranked No. 30 in the USTA Southern California 18s rankings, while Hernandez is No. 19. Korber won his other two sets, 6-0, 6-0.

CdM (14-3) swept in doubles. Carter Wheatley and Alex Murray improved to 38-5, winning 6-2, 6-3, 6-1.

The Sea Kings play at University on Tuesday.

GIRLS’ TRACK & FIELD

Los Alamitos 99, Newport Harbor 37

LOS ALAMITOS — Paige Tennison won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter races for the Sailors in the Sunset League meet Wednesday.

Mary Yeager won the 800 in 2 minutes, 26.1 seconds, while Kayla Hufford finished second in the shot put and second in the discus for Newport Harbor.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

El Toro 10, Newport Harbor 7

NEWPORT BEACH — Riley Robinson had three goals and two assists for the Sailors in the nonleague game Wednesday.

Zach Vayda had nine saves for Newport Harbor (5-9).
