Nevada tournament

DAYTON, Nev. — UC Irvine freshman Sarah Baek shot 69 in her collegiate debut, is tied for the lead, and has the Anteaters atop the team standings Monday after 18 holes at the Wolf Pack Classic at the Dalton Valley Golf Club.

Today’s second round was canceled due to excessive winds. The second and final round is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.

UCI (10-over-par 298) is two shots ahead of Wyoming.

Freshman Michelle Yang (73) is tied for fourth. Senior Lalita Patipaksiri and sophomores Ronnie Valerio and Taryn Yee (all at 78) are tied for 20th.

Pacific 3, UC Irvine 2

STOCKTON — Seniors CoCo Goodson and Lexi Kopf scored for the visiting Anteaters in the overtime Big West Conference battle Sunday.

Zuri Walker had an assist for UCI (7-3-2, 0-1-1 in conference), which plays host to UC Santa Barbara on Friday at 7 p.m.

UOP is 7-4-1, 1-0-1.

SoCal Tournament

LOS ALAMITOS — UC Irvine split a pair of games Sunday and finished sixth in the event at the Joint Forces Training Base.

UCI beat Pepperdine, 15-12, in overtime, after falling, 9-6, to UC Santa Barbara.

Nick Pfeil has six goals against Pepperdine.

Sam Figueroa had four goals in the two games for UCI (10-6).
