NEWPORT BEACH — Cinnamon Sary had 17 assists and nine kills to help the Sailors to a 25-17, 25-16, 25-10 Sunset League win Thursday.

Carolyn Bockrath had nine kills, while Kasey Thompson and Alex Holbrook had eight kills each for Newport Harbor (14-5, 3-2 in league).

Claire Castillo had four kills and two blocks, and Torey Thompson added 12 assists for the Sailors.

Newport Harbor 231, Huntington Beach 239

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Charlotte Skjonsby shot two-over-par 38 to earn medalist honors for the Sailors in the Sunset League match at SeaCliff Country Club Thursday.

Kate Lamas (43), Tara Hanna (45), Lauren Willard (50) and Amelia Thomas (55) also scored for Newport Harbor (9-7, 3-4 in league).

Corona del Mar 16, Beckman 5

CORONA DEL MAR — Colby Watson had four goals and Jake Wyatt added three to pace the host Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Watson added two steals and one assist and Wyatt had two assists and one steal for the winners (13-3, 5-0 in league), ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division II.

Reid Chase had two goals, two steals and one assist for CdM, for which Patrick McKenzie had nine of the team’s 11 saves.

CdM visits El Toro, ranked No. 4 in CIF Division I, on Friday at 5 p.m.

Newport Harbor 18, Fountain Valley 0

NEWPORT BEACH — Annie Redeva swept all 18 games at No. 3 singles to lead the host Sailors in the Sunset League match Thursday.

Robin and Chrisitina Young won 18 of 19 games at No. 1 doubles and Natalie Cernius did the same at No. 2 singles for the Tars (11-1, 5-0 in league), ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division II.

SANTA ANA — Jacky Dang and Lisa Vu swept at No. 1 doubles for the Mustangs in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.

Costa Mesa is 3-2 in league.

Corona del Mar 16, Beckman 2

CORONA DEL MAR — CdM sophomore Lauren Thaxter returned from a five-week medical leave of absence, winning two singles sets in the Pacific Coast League match Thursday at Corona del Mar High.

Thaxter won, 6-2, 6-0, before being subbed out. CdM also swept all nine doubles sets. The teams of Kimmia Naaseh and Olivia Laws, Megan Hawkins and Natasha Fisker, as well as Ariana Naaseh and Kenzie Purcifull, all won two sets for CdM.

CdM (3-7, 2-3 in league) has a key match at home against Northwood on Tuesday.
