CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings clinched the outright Pacific Coast League title Tuesday.

Ari Marks (two assists, three steals), Charlie Howarth (two assists), Ben Zepfel (one assist) and Jake Wyatt (one assist, three steals, one block) had two goals each for CdM (17-5, 9-0 in league), ranked No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Division II poll.

The Sea Kings raised $1,272 for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Tuesday, when they wore orange caps and supported Kimie Metcalf, the daughter of CdM Coach Barry O’Dea’s friend.

NEWPORT COAST — Brenna Van Hoogenstyn (five digs) and Zoe Kreitenberg (two blocks) had 10 kills each to help the Lightning to a 25-21, 25-9, 25-16 Academy League win Wednesday.

Allie Mowrey had five kills and eight digs for Sage Hill (18-6, 8-1 in league), ranked No. 3 in the CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA poll.

The Lightning need to win at home Tuesday against Crean Lutheran to secure at least a share of the league title.
