EUGENE, Ore. — Anete Klintsone led four Anteaters in double figures with 15 points in the Global Sports Cage Classic at the University of Oregon on Sunday.

Klintsone added seven rebounds and four assists, while Jasmine Bernard had 12 points and 11 rebounds for UCI (2-5), which went 2-1 in the tournament.

Weber State is 0-6.

UCI plays host to Santa Clara on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Corban 57, Vanguard 44

SALEM, Ore. — Senior Paige Halberg had 15 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead the Lions in the championship game of the Capital City/Bruce Henderson Memorial Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

Esther Timmermans had 10 points for No. 10-ranked Vanguard (4-1), which led, 26-21, at halftime, but made just three of 34 field-goal tries in the second half (8.8%). Vanguard finished one for 20 from three-point range.

Halberg was first-team all-tournament.

Corban is 4-2.

Santa Ana tournament

SANTA ANA — Orange Coast College defeated MiraCosta, 68-64, in the third-place game on Sunday at Santa Ana College.

Megan Hanson had 18 points, including four three-pointers, to pace the Pirates.

Tessie Pikula chipped in 13 points for OCC, which was defeated, 79-55, by Riverside in the Saturday’s championship semifinals.

Nisma Ali had 10 points for OCC against Riverside.

Jordyn Terukina, who had 17 points in the final two games of the tournament, made the all-tournament team.

MEN’S WATER POLO

UC Irvine 10, Pacific 9

BERKELEY — Trent Baxter scored four goals and Mitch Wise added three to help the Anteaters win the fifth-place game of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament on Sunday at Cal.

UCI, the No. 7 seed, finishes 17-12.

Wise, a sophomore driver, was named all-tournament.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Central Michigan def. UC Irvine

IRVINE — Aly Squires had 17 kills to lead the host Anteaters in the 16-25, 25-11, 16-25, 37-35, 15-10 nonconference loss that ended their season on Saturday.

UCI, which received 18 digs from Kristin Winkler, finished 10-19.
