Sage Hill earns shutout league win on road

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Senior Jack Percival converted a penalty kick in the 48th minute to key the visiting Lightning in the Academy League contest Friday.

Percival’s goal was set up when freshman Anthony Gil was fouled in the 18-yard box.

Sage Hill, which received strong defense from senior Eric Cheng, improved to 4-4, 3-1 in league.

The Lightning return to action Wednesday at home against Whitney at 5 p.m.

The Lightning improved to 7-3-3 and 2-1-1 in the Academy League with Friday’s victory.

Juliette Singarela, Maddie Culberson, Noosha Deravi, Alexa Thomas and Rannah Dabiri scored goals for Sage Hill.
