UCI’s Tillie honored

UC Irvine junior outside hitter Kevin Tillie was named Player of the Week by the American Volleyball Coaches Assn. for the week ending April 22.

The 6-foot-6 Tillie put away a match-high 20 kills in a four-set victory over UCLA in the quarterfinals of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament on April 21 at UCI.

He also added five digs, three blocks and an ace.
