Laguna softball team opens playoffs at home
The Laguna Beach High softball team beat Estancia in an Orange Coast League third-place playoff game last week and earned a home game in the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs.
The Breakers (8-13) will play host to Riverside Woodcrest Christian (12-8, Ambassador League at-large) in a wild-card game Tuesday.
The winner will play at Montebello Schurr (15-13), the Almont League champion.
Redlands Citrus Valley (20-4), the Mountain Valley League champion, is the division’s top seed.
