24th annual parade welcomes summertime to Balboa Island

Dignitaries, children on bikes, dogs in costumes and residents in decorated golf carts joined marching bands, Keystone Kops, the Patio Chair Drill Team and other performers in filling Marine Avenue with summertime celebration Sunday for the 24th annual Balboa Island Parade.

A party followed with musicians the Fabulous Nomads, Big Wednesday and Gunnar Gehl.
