Police arrested a 29-year-old man whom officers said they found pulling a flat-screen television and aquatic gear from the garage of an Eastside Costa Mesa home early Wednesday.

Costa Mesa police received a call at 12:45 a.m. from a resident reporting that someone was in the garage of the home in the 1900 block of Fullerton Avenue, Sgt. Mike Manson said.

When officers arrived, a man was pulling items out of the garage onto the driveway. He ran, and officers chased him about 20 feet before taking him into custody, Manson said.

Police also connected the man to a vehicle burglary reported nearby, Manson said. Authorities suspect the vehicle was burglarized shortly before the home.

Bryson Williams of Costa Mesa was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of Xanax and resisting arrest, Manson said.
