Newport hops into spring with Egg Race festival

Newport Beach’s annual family-friendly spring carnival on the Civic Center lawn Saturday had kids shaking, rattling and egg rolling.

The Egg Race festival included old-fashioned fun including sack races, train rides and visits with the Easter Bunny.
