Two men and a woman were arrested Friday morning on suspicion of trying to force their way into a Laguna Beach home, police said.

Laguna Beach officers responded to a home in the 2900 block of Zell Drive at 6:56 a.m. to investigate a report of a residential burglary in progress, according to police.

A resident reported a suspicious truck parked in the driveway of his neighbor’s house. Shortly after, dispatchers received a call from a resident who said three people had tried to enter his house through his side bedroom window.

The trio got into a Ford truck and fled after the resident confronted them.

Officers responding to the scene saw the people speeding away in the truck, police said. They abandoned the truck in a nearby residential area and ran, authorities said.

Gwendulyn Ceballos-Jimenez, 21, of Riverside County was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen property after officers found her hiding in bushes trying to change her clothing, police said.

After searching the area, officers arrested Allen Ykwang Lin, 29, and Michael Murilloh, 31, both of Riverside County, on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen property, police said.

Lin suffered minor injuries from an Orange County Sheriff’s Department police dog after refusing to come out of a canyon area where he was hiding, police said.

Officers determined the Ford truck had been reported stolen from Rialto and had license plates stolen from San Juan Capistrano, police said.

Laguna Beach detectives are identifying additional possible victims through stolen property found in the truck, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Laguna Beach Police Department at (949) 497-0701.
