Michael Chang Tennis Classic in Newport helps raise funds for homeless charity
Former tennis star Michael Chang and current tennis pro Kei Nishikori competed in an exhibition match Saturday as part of the Michael Chang Tennis Classic at Newport Beach Tennis Club. The event raised money for HomeAid Orange County, as well as the Chang Family Foundation.
Chang, a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the 1989 French Open champion, coaches Nishikori on tour. Nishikori is currently ranked No. 5 in the world.
The Michael Chang Tennis Classic also included a USC vs. UCLA undercard match, and a silent auction.
