Laguna Beach is one of 9 local boys’ basketball teams in CIF playoffs

Laguna Beach High earned the No. 2 seed and Ocean View the No. 4 seed in the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA boys’ basketball playoffs on Sunday.

Laguna Beach, Edison, CdM, Newport Harbor, Ocean View, Marina, Costa Mesa, Sage Hill and Estancia open the postseason in their respective divisions on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Below are the playoff openers involving the local programs:

Division 1

Edison (20-7) at home against Esperanza (17-10)

Division 2AA

Corona del Mar (17-10) at Los Angeles Cathedral (16-8)

Division 2A

Newport Harbor (21-6) at home against Walnut (18-9)

Division 3AA

Laguna Beach (25-3) at home against Corona Santiago (11-10)

Ocean View (23-4) at home against Beckman (13-13)

Division 3A

Marina (15-11) at La Quinta (14-10)

Division 4AA

Costa Mesa (13-10) at home against Westminster (14-12)

Division 4A

Sage Hill (10-16) at San Pedro Mary Star of the Sea (22-5)

Division 5AAA

Estancia (16-10) at El Monte Arroyo (17-9)
