Share

For the students, the summer rarely seems to last long enough.

Then again, with the passing of July comes the anticipation of another year of high school sports.

Football teams have been seen out on the practice field, and they are not the only ones preparing for the upcoming season.

The first day of school will not be until Sept. 5 for attendees of Estancia High. Nevertheless, the Eagles’ girls’ volleyball team will open its season with a home match against Samueli Academy on Aug. 22.

Estancia posted a record of 17-8 overall, 5-5 in the Orange Coast League last year. The Eagles received an at-large playoff berth after finishing fourth in the league.
