Los Amigos High senior Briana Arostico and senior Natalie Albarran have each earned top defensive awards in the Garden Grove League in girls’ water polo, with Arostico named the league’s Defensive MVP while Albarran was named the Goalkeeper of the Year.

The two seniors helped the Lobos go 22-7 overall and 3-1 in league. Los Amigos finished second in league before making a run to the CIF Southern Section Division 7 title match, where it lost 8-2 to Los Angeles Marymount. It was just Los Amigos’ second CIF finals appearance in the program’s history.

Junior Natalie Valentin was another first-team all-league selection for Los Amigos. Senior Andrea Aguilar and junior Daisy Chavez each made the second team.

Senior Nicolette Janocha of league champion Garden Grove earned league MVP honors, while Garden Grove senior Andrea Corrigan was the league’s Offensive Player of the Year.
