When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday at Estancia High

Key Calvary Chapel Players: Fr. QB Cole Boop (112 of 149 passing for 1,335 yards and seven TDs); Sr. WR Jonathan Carnevale (34 catches for 509 yards and two TDs); Sr. WR Daniel Nava (45 catches for 484 yards and one TD).

Key Estancia Players: Jr. RB/DB Trevor Pacheco (121 carries for 740 yards and three TDs; eight catches for 95 yards and two TDs); Jr. WR/SS Hayden Pearce (13 catches for 154 yards and three TDs; 41 tackles and two INTs); Sr. WR/LB Deshandre Kerkhoff (two catches for 31 yards; 47 tackles, three fumble recoveries, one INT, and one sack).

Breakdown: For those who refer to the nonleague schedule as the preseason, these two teams fit the bill to perfection. Neither had a win after five games, but all of that has served as a training exercise in preparation for the stretch that can make or break their year … Both teams opened Orange Coast League play with victories, doing so in very different ways … Estancia rode junior running back Trevor Pacheco’s big night to a 48-27 win over Santa Ana Saddleback. Pacheco turned his 22 touches into 250 yards (183 rushing) and four touchdowns … Calvary Chapel’s ball distribution was just as skewed, as it kept the ball in the hands of freshman quarterback Cole Boop. He completed 15 of 22 passes for 133 yards, adding 16 rushes for 85 yards. Boop produced two touchdowns (one rushing) with one interception in a 21-7 win at Costa Mesa.
