CdM’s Kevin Kobrine, John Humphreys earn All-Pacific Coast League boys’ basketball accolades

Corona del Mar High senior guard Kevin Kobrine and sophomore guard John Humphreys made the All-Pacific Coast League first team in boys’ basketball for the 2017-18 season.

The duo led the Sea Kings (17-11, 7-3 in league) to a runner-up finish in the league and the CIF Southern Section Division 2AA playoffs. CdM suffered a 68-61 first-round loss at Los Angeles Cathedral.

Kobrine, a repeat first-team selection, averaged 18.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

Humphreys averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

CdM junior center Jack Garza was a second-team pick.

Northwood senior guard Jacob Huynh earned the Pacific Coast League MVP award.
