Pacifica Christian Orange County boys’ soccer coach Joey O’Keefe named San Joaquin League Coach of the Year
Pacifica Christian Orange County High’s Joey O’Keefe received the San Joaquin League Coach of the Year honor in boys’ soccer for the 2017-18 season.
O’Keefe led the first-year varsity program to a share of fifth place in the league at 2-9-1 and a 7-11-2 overall record.
Pacifica Christian’s Aidan Murphy was on the first team. The junior midfielder finished with 12 goals and four assists.
The second team included Pacifica Christian junior defender Hunter Alexander and sophomore forward Noah Redman.
Nick Kutscher, a junior midfielder and forward, was honorable mention.
Claremont Webb sophomore forward Liam Gerken was named the San Joaquin League Player of the Year. The Gauls won the league.
