The Piecemakers' annual Harvest Festival will be from 9a.m. to 4 p.m., at Piecemakers Country Store, 1720 Adams Ave., Costa Mesa. Mix + Mingle Fundraiser

The Mix + Mingle By The Sea fundraiser, hosted by Ensign Intermediate School in Newport Beach, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 215 East 15th St., Newport Beach. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased by going to or at the school's front office, 2000 Cliff Drive. Proceeds will go to support the Ensign Fund for the 2010-2011 school year.

Sandcastle Contest
