Pet Of The Week

The tiny microchip implanted under the skin of a white and orange kitten in 2006 helped reunite Community Animal Network with the now 5-year-old cat we call Phoenix since he was found in an Arizona animal shelter last week.

Phoenix is being fostered by the Plecas family of Costa Mesa. Their daughter is earning community service hours for participating in this life-saving program. Call (949) 759-3646 or visit for information on adoption events.

Donations are needed to help with the rescue costs associated with gasoline and travel expenses to retrieve the cat Phoenix from Arizona. Send donations to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92660.
