Children learn about sea animals through sculptures in Laguna
Children could learn about sea animals through sculpture during an event Saturday presented by Laguna Outreach for Community Arts and Laguna Beach’s Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
A docent led a tour through the center, giving the visitors an up-close view of sea lions and seals as they splashed and played in their watery homes.
Then the children got a simple lesson in how to form miniature sea lions out of clay, complete with whiskers and webbed flippers.
