Seniors to visit Aquarium of Pacific
Laguna Beach Seniors invites senior citizens to take a trip on Tuesday, Feb. 6 to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. The bus will meet attendees at 8:30 a.m. at the city employee parking lot across from the Festival of the Arts on Laguna Canyon Road near Forest Avenue.
The bus will leave promptly at 9 a.m. and arrive at the Aquarium between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Wheelchairs are available on request.
Participants may tour the Aquarium with a guide or on their own. Café Scuba is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and overlooks the seal and sea lion exhibit.
One of their current exhibits is AnimalVision 3-D, an animated film that takes visitors on an adventure across the globe to see how actions at home are affecting animals around the world. The film combines state-of-the-art 3-D technology and digital animation with environmental messages.
The bus will board for the return trip at 2 p.m. for an approximate 3 p.m. arrival in Laguna Beach. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers of Laguna Beach Seniors. For more information, call (949) 464-9535.
