Karolyn Kruse Hayes

longtime resident of Lido Island, passed away on April 16, 2007. Born November 6, 1918 in Kirksville, Missouri to Lucille Sands Kruse and William Pate Kruse. Karolyn attended Beverly Hills High School and graduated from UCLA where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. Karolyn married Robert Joseph Hayes and resided in Northern California until 1964 whereupon she and her family moved to Lido Island.

Karolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Jean Kruse, and brother, Charles Atherton Kruse, M.D. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert, daughter, Lucinda Hayes (Robert) Contant, and grandchildren Robert Marinus (Jenny) Contant, Jr. and Hayley Sands Contant. Celebration of Karolyn’s life will be held at a later date at Newport Harbor Yacht Club. Services private.
