BALBOA BAY CLUB JUNIOR TOURNAMENT ROUNDUP

Kelli Feeley and Karen Ishii, both from Newport Beach, advanced to the quarterfinals of the girls’ 18 doubles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Melissa Breisacher and Brianna Steinmentz Tuesday.

Other local girls’ 18 doubles teams advancing are Danielle Kaiden of Newport Beach and Paige Polizois of Corona del Mar High, Eleanor Edles of Costa Mesa and Sabrina Man-Son-Hing, and Neda Ghassemi of Corona del Mar and Nicole Koehly, who had a bye in the first round.

In 18 singles, Ishii advanced to the quarterfinals after opponent withdrew because of an injury.

In 16 singles, Elizabeth Nguyen of Newport Beach qualified for the quarterfinals.

In 14 singles, Alison Ishii of Newport Beach moved on to the quarterfinals.

In 12 singles, Natalie Cernius of Newport Beach and Anna Radeva of Costa Mesa advanced to the quarterfinals.

In boys’ 12 doubles, Andrew Nguyen of Newport Beach and his partner Alex Tran of Irvine advanced to today’s quarterfinals at 6:30 P.M.

In boys’ 16 doubles, Shane Korber of Newport Beach and his partner Gavin Crogius of San Juan Capistrano advanced to today’s quarterfinals at 6:30 p.m.
