Sailors finish sixth

NEWPORT BEACH — The Newport Harbor High boys’ water polo team finished sixth in the CIF Masters Tournament after losing to Sunset League foe Los Alamitos, 3-1, Saturday at Newport Harbor.

Zach Osadche scored the Sailors’ lone goal and also recorded two steals. Goalie Nick Holbrook had 13 saves for Harbor (23-10).

The Sailors used a 10-9 win against Corona del Mar to play in the fifth-place game. Jack Yeager and David Linden scored three goals each for Harbor. Michael Liao led CdM (20-12) with three goals.

The Sea Kings finished seventh after beating Cerritos, 15-8. Max Bergeson led CdM with five gials and Lucas Reynolds added three.
