HUNTINGTON BEACH — The visiting Sailors clinched a share of the Sunset League title and the league’s No. 1 berth in the CIF Southern Section Division I-AA playoffs with a 25-21, 25-17, 25-16 win Thursday.

Cinnamon Sary had 35 assists and Maddy Brown had 12 kills the Tars (24-6, 9-1 in league).

CYPRESS — Zoe Kreitenberg and Lindsey Kish had seven kills each to pace the Lightning’s 19-25, 25-17, 25-7, 25-14 Academy League win Thursday.

Sage is 14-11, 8-2 in league to earn second place.

SEAL BEACH — Newport Harbor High’s Ricki Archie and Christina Young were defeated, 7-5, 5-7, 10-4, by a duo from Fountain Valley in the title match at Seal Beach Tennis Center Thursday.

Archie and Young posted a 7-5, 6-2 semifinal win over a Los Alamitos pair to advance to CIF Southern Section individual competition.

CHINO — Corona del Mar High tied for seventh and Estancia was 10th in the CIF Southern Section Southern Team Divisional Thursday at El Prado Golf Course.

Estancia’s Ashley Peters shot five-over-par 77 to pace all the locals.
