Eight people were arrested after an investigation into a prostitution operation at a hotel, Costa Mesa police said Thursday.
After complaints from employees at the Vagabond Inn, 3205 Harbor Blvd., regarding possible prostitution, police investigated, said Lt. Bryan Glass.
That investigation led police to two rooms in the hotel, where after talking with the people inside, eight of them were arrested for various violations related to prostitution.
Among the arrestees were Meriam Valenzuela, 29, of Santa Ana, and Carlos Juan Camacho, 19, of Santa Ana, both of whom were booked on suspicion of pimping and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The two are scheduled to be arraigned today.
Three other arrestees were booked on suspicion of soliciting prostitutes, while the remaining three were arrested for suspicion of prostitutes.
