Azad Schnorkian

Our loving mother and grandma, Azad Schnorkian passed away June 3 at her home in Corona del Mar. She was 96.

Azad was born in Armenia and immigrated to the United States in 1920. Azad moved to Corona del Mar in 1964 from Pontiac, Mich. She loved the ocean, cooking Armenian food, reading and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Beatrice Moras of Carlsbad, six grandchildren, Christina Liebman, Brett Bull, Jennifer Hoyle, Kerry Bull, Kelley Thompson and Courtney Crowe ,and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Bull and her husband of 68 years, Sarkis Schnorkian.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. June 19 at the Community Church Congregational, 611 Heliotrope Ave. in Corona del Mar.
