Lohan might stay in Newport

A spokeswoman for Morningside Recovery Homes would neither confirm nor deny Friday whether actress Lindsay Lohan will be staying at the Newport Beach rehab home after she’s released from jail next week.

The “Mean Girls” star was ordered by Judge Marsha Revel to report directly to the facility upon her release from the women’s jail in Lynwood, according to several entertainment media websites, including People, TMZ and RadarOnline.

Morningside has an office at 3404 Via Lido and homes at undisclosed locations in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. It was unclear Friday where Lohan would actually be staying.

She will be paying $36,500 for the three-month stay, RadarOnline reported. Morningside Recovery also has homes in Costa Mesa.

Lohan, 24, started serving a 90-day jail sentence July 20 for violating her probation for a DUI conviction. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department policy for good behavior and jail overcrowding means Lohan will serve 13 days and could be released as early as Sunday.

Lohan is expected to pack enough clothes for two weeks, along with personal hygiene products, including a curling iron or blow dryer. She is not allowed to have any over-the-counter medications or alcohol-based products, such as mouthwash or hydrogen peroxide.

Unless advanced plans have been made, Lohan will share a 10-by-12-foot bedroom with another resident. The women in the house will have an assigned a so-called “house parent,” who makes sure residents adhere to the program and obey rules.

The curfew is 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Residents are given a $75 weekly food allowance. The money can’t be spent on tobacco or alcohol. Lohan will be given $40 a week for free spending, but shopping trips must be approved by her case manager.

For the first two weeks, Lohan will not be allowed to use a cell phone but can have access to a computer. After the first 30 days, residents are allowed overnight passes if they give a week’s notice. The resident must say with whom they’re staying, what their relationship is, assure the environment is clean and sober and provide a contact number.

Lohan’s attorney did not return a request seeking comment Friday.
