Ruby Tuesday Alan dies

Scott Alan has lost his constant companion, Ruby Tuesday Alan, a Dachshund, who was well-known in downtown Laguna Beach for her extensive wardrobe, including dresses and jewelry. Scott said Ruby woke him up with a bark at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 5. He carried her outside and realized her heart had stopped beating. Ruby was born Aug. 7, 1995, and would have been 15 years old the next day.

“Her birthday celebration turned into a celebration of her full life,” Scott said. Ruby and Scott made the rounds at most businesses in downtown Laguna Beach twice a day, entertaining tourists and locals with her elaborate getups.
