From 7:30 p.m. to 3 a.m., police will be stationed on northbound Dover Drive stopping drivers to educate them on the dangers of drinking and driving and to check for drunk or unlicensed drivers.

Police said the checkpoint was selected because its nearby bars and restaurants. The stops are aimed at educating the public and reminding the public of the laws, rather than catching drunk drivers.
