Fountain Valley to collect unwanted electronics

Share

Fountain Valley residents don’t have to chuck their old electronics in the trash if they wait until Jan. 22.

The city is hosting a free electronic waste recycling event for unwanted household items.

TVs, computers, laptops, monitors, home entertainment systems, cell phones, desktop copiers, printers, fax machines, keyboards, DVD and VCR players, audio devices and loose wires will be accepted.

Fluorescent lamps, microwaves, vacuums and refrigerators can’t be accommodated.

The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in the parking lot of City Hall at 10200 Slater Ave. For more information about items that will be recycled, call (800) 780-0347.
