Four arrested on suspicion of stealing bikes at UCI

UC Irvine police arrested four people Sunday in connection with bike thefts on campus.

Cristino Parada Ramirez, 26 of Santa Ana, Ramses Moreno Astudillo, 26 of San Clemente, Victor Manuel Hinojosa, 26 of Orange, and an unnamed juvenile were among those arrested over the weekend, according to a news release from the university.

None of the suspects are UCI students.

Ramirez was previously arrested on charges of theft in January by university police. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail and ordered to stay away from the campus, according to the release.

Last week university police arrested two people in connection to a string of thefts on the campus that were tied to thefts across Southern California universities.
