Area 1

North Coast Highway: A person reported grand theft in the 600 block at 6:00 p.m. Aug. 26. The person reported that a watch was stolen. The loss is estimated at $1,700.

Area 2

Laguna Canyon Road: A person reported being attacked by a coyote in the 24000 block at 12:05 p.m. Aug. 26.

Laguna Canyon Road: A person reported that a female was walking down the road, smoking and dragging a dead coyote near El Toro Road at 10:53 p.m. Aug. 25. The reporting person said she was trying to tear it apart. Another person called with a similar report of a woman with a coyote.

Canyon Acres: A person reported that they saw a man breaking into vehicles near Laguna Canyon Road at 1:09 p.m. Saturday.

Laguna Canyon Road: Indecent exposure was reported in the 20000 block at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday. A person reported that two homeless males were sitting in front of the dog park. When a car drove by, one dropped his pants.

Area 3

South Coast Highway: A person reported annoying calls in the 400 block at 3:14 p.m. Aug. 24. The person reported that a competing business owner was calling and threatening, saying things like “You better watch out.”

Broadway: Indecent exposure was reported in the 300 block at 7:58 p.m. Aug. 24.

Laguna Avenue: A Newport Beach woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 11:02 p.m. Aug. 24.

Ocean Avenue: A pay station was reportedly vandalized in the 200 block at 1:05 p.m. Aug. 25. The loss was estimated at $361.75 and damage at $15,000.

South Coast Highway: A person reported that a possible homeless man was screaming at the top of his lungs in the 500 block at 4:51 p.m. Aug. 25.

Blumont: A person reported that a female was passed out on the roof of a car in the 500 block at 12:58 a.m. Sunday. The person reported that she was walking around the car and tried to get in before ending up on the roof.

Ocean Avenue: A person reported that young people tried to take an old man’s wallet in the 300 block at 3:34 p.m. Sunday.

Glenneyre Street: A woman reported that an unknown suspect had put cable boxes in her home in the 600 block at 1:28 a.m. Tuesday. She reported the boxes were causing her family to act “strange.” She left three boxes with the police.

South Coast Highway: A Laguna Niguel woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 30000 block at 11:57 p.m. Aug. 25.

Aliso Circle: A person reported that a man on a trolley was refusing to disembark near Coast Highway at 5:03 p.m. Saturday.

South Coast Highway: A Dana Point man was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 31000 block at 11:49 p.m. Sunday.
