Cleanup is a community-wide event

Volunteers are needed to participate in the 15th annual Inner Coastal and Neighborhood Clean-up Day on Saturday in Aliso Viejo.

All are welcome to help clean area creeks, watersheds, trails and neighborhoods from 8 a.m. to noon near the Aliso Viejo Ranch, 100 Park Ave., Aliso Viejo.

The cleanup aims to keep trash and other debris from ending up on beaches. Residents are also encouraged to pick up trash and recyclables from their own neighborhoods.

Participants should wear sunscreen, hiking shoes, hats and work gloves. Refreshments and water will be provided.
